This product is new from Loreal and claims to give the optimal blur effect for a flawless nude complexion. This cream can be used alone or under makeup.
This cream claims to do a lot… but does it live up to expectations?
I usually use this blur cream under the new Loreal Nude Magique BB Cream which I bought along with the Lumi Magique Pen concealer in a 3 for 2 offer in Boots.
Although the blur cream does blur pores to an extent, in my opinion this cream does not refine skin texture leaving a perfect finish. Furthermore this product does not give enough coverage to wear on its own. Used along side the BB cream and Concealer pen however, a nice finish can be achieved.
I would say that the overall finish of the blur cream and the BB cream combined offers low coverage. This can be perfect for the summer months or if you are having a 'good skin day' however, if you are looking for a higher coverage look these products may not be for you!
Designed to act as a priming base, the blur cream does smooth over the skins surface however, it has no staying power and does not make your makeup last any longer throughout the day. In fact I found that the blur cream and BB cream were almost completely gone from the skin by mid afternoon.
Overall, this product was a bit disappointing, particularly as the packaging gives high expectations and makes large claims! Interestingly the consistency and objectives of the product are similar to those of Benefit's The Porefessional. The blur cream is a fraction of the price but it is nowhere near as good in my opinion.
Although the Loreal Nude Magique Blur Cream does provide some pore blurring effects this product does not live up to expectations, and I would suggest investing in a more effective primer or blur cream instead.
In contrast to this I found that Loreal's BB cream from the Nude Magique line was a better quality product. I will be reviewing this BB cream soon so keep your eyes peeled!
