SHOPAHOLIC ALERT!! ... Yet another USA beauty haul!

So as you all know I was visiting family in the US over the last two weeks in July and of course I could not visit without my religious trip to Sephora and CVS to snap up some beauty goodies...

As you can see I went a bit wild and picked up quite a few things!
I had heard a lot about this product and thought it might be a good addition to my makeup collection (particularly handy for travelling)... with it currently unavailable in the UK I thought this trip would be a good chance to pick it up.

My first impressions of this palette aren't amazing at the moment although I have not yet tried all of the colours! If you would be interested in a detailed review of this let me know in the comment box at the end!

The palette reminds me of an Urban Decay Naked palette or the Smashbox Full Exposure palette but at a much cheaper price obviously! Whether it will live up to expectations however is yet to be discovered!

Before leaving for the US I had also seen a lot of hype around this next product and so I was looking forward to giving it a sniff in person! Elizabeth and James is a brand believe it or not by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen! They brought out this scent along with another deeper, muskier scent a few months ago now but the bottle and the smell of both are amazing...

I decided to pick up the Nirvana white fragrance which is more suitable for day time as apposed to Nirvana Black which is more of an evening scent. I only bought the roller ball of this perfume to give it a go before buying a full size, more expensive full size bottle! As I am not terribly good at describing perfumes I visited the Sephora website which describes the notes as peony, Muguet and Tender Musk. The style of the scent is described as Sophisticated, Feminine and Captivating!

Whilst picking up the Maybelline Nude palette in CVS I also spotted this little gem that caught my eye! NYX is a really affordable brand which isn't as easy to find in the UK. I thought this would be handy to create a wash of colour over my eyes when I'm in a hurry or want a simple look so I snapped it up!

I picked up the colour Sparkle Nude which is a beautiful gold shimmery colour.

During my trip to Sephora I went a bit crazy with Tarte products!! With all natural products and amazing packaging how could anyone resist! This palette really caught my eye as it's perfect for travelling as it has blush, bronzer, highlighter and eye shadow in one beautiful palette...

The rainforest after dark coloured clay eye and cheek palette contains a combination of beautiful colours perfect for everyday and evening makeup looks. The packaging is also beautiful and has a really big internal mirror again perfect for travel.

As you can seen above there is a great range of shades of which the eye shadows are exclusive to this palette.

This was another Tarte product I really wanted to try... the Amazonian clay full coverage airbrush foundation. I picked up the colour fair-light neutral which is for fair to light skin with yellow and pink undertones.

As you can see above and below the packaging is stunning and the internal design prevents those annoying messy spills of powder allover your makeup bag!

As I haven't been using these products for long I cannot give a full review but if you would like me to in the future let me know!

My last purchase was again from Tarte... this is a mini version of their Pure Maracuja Oil. This product claims to do a lot including diminish signs of ageing whilst deeply nourishing to create firmer, brighter, smoother looking skin! Hopefully this product will live up to its claims!

Do let me know if you would like to see a more in depth review of any of the products mentioned!
Tune in again next week for my next post!
Love Katy
